To Bounce, Or Not To Bounce....

TODDLERS! So unpredictable. Today at playgroup, Misty in the heat went to all the work of dragging out and setting up her giant bouncer for the kids to....ummm, BOUNCE! Well, most kids you would have to detach from the bouncer when it was time to leave, but not our kids...we couldn't get them to stay in it! This just blows my mind, just when you think you have them figured out they do the opposite. So, instead of bouncing, the kids found their way into the garage and pulled out items that THEY thought were more fun than a bouncer. Colter found a foot pump to air up toys, Emerson played with the vacuum, and Graham surrounded himself with old toy cars! BOYS!!!!

The BOUNCER!

Home Run!

Colter got his first baseball tee, and now he is headed for the Major Leagues....the only problem, he hits the ball with the wrong end of the bat! Guess we will have to work on that.

It's a HOME RUN!

That was fun...let's do it again!

ZOO-rific!

Last Tuesday (a little behind on my blogging) Chad, Colter, and I took advantage of the beautiful weather and headed down to the Houston Zoo. We have been wanting to take Colter for awhile now, since he loves animals and making all their noises. We had a great time seeing all of the animals and soaking up the sun. Although, I think Colter's favorite part was just running around making Momma and Daddy chase him!

Too Cool!

"Hess" NO Zebra

Colter is going to start thinking there is a slide everywhere we go!

April Showers Bring....EASTER EGGS????

Easter morning was a dreary one, but that didn't stop us from heading out before the rain to hunt Easter eggs! The Easter Bunny doesn't care if it is raining or not! Plus we couldn't miss out on Colter's first real egg hunt. It began to thunder and sprinkle...so I put on Colter's shoes, while daddy, I mean The Easter Bunny, quickly hid the eggs. Colter had a blast searching for the eggs, especially once he realized he could bust them open and there was confetti! It was a race against the rain and Colter won! It was probably the fastest Easter egg hunt in history, but he got them all!

Later in the afternoon we headed to Memaw and Pawpaw's house to celebrate Easter with the rest of the family! The rain cleared and it ended up being such a beautiful day. The boys (Colter and Tyler) hunted eggs in the back yard, while the adults chased them around with cameras. The boys had a great time racing through the yard, swinging, going down the roller coaster, feeding the neighbor's dog treats, and playing in the mud! Then it was time to head in to get their Easter baskets and a nice break for the adults. Do you really ever get a break with a toddler...naaa! And of course the party ended up back outside to enjoy the nice spring weather. What a great day!

Zoned in on the first egg!

Oh there's another one...

In the basket it goes!

Not gonna miss this one!
